Sometimes it’s easy for forget that all people are hard-wired to desire truth. Even if our minds or our emotions are confused and try to numb it out, our spirit knows truth and longs for it.
As we interact with Christians and others who seem horribly lost amid the lies, we can be assured that there is no peace in them, not a true peace that only can come from the Author of Truth.
We must pray that their hunger for truth is exposed through all the noise and that spirits of deception, counterfeit truth, etc. go where the Lord sends them, in His name.
Truth has no counterfeit that can bring peace.
Be not dismayed by those obviously blinded by a counterfeit and realize that the counterfeit looks almost identical to the truth, not the polar opposite, most often. White hat/black hat is a Hollywood deception we have bought too long.
The truth is that the enemy overlays what is good with a cloak of evil that looks identical, bringing confusion and distraction. Discernment can be difficult and a stumbling block of division within the Body of Christ.
Be not confused-
There is compassion that is of God.
There is a false compassion that is not of God.
We are never to have compassion for evil, just those who are under its influence.
False compassion effectively spits in the face of Jesus on the cross as it says “love is love” and there is no price to pay for sin. This is a counterfeit. There is always a price for sin. Hence the suffering of our Lord and Savior. To pretend otherwise is blasphemy.
For those of us who have received it, Christ paid the price on the cross.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
False compassion says it’s ok to keep sinning. You won’t be held accountable because you are loved.
In fact, to love without truth is not love. It is hate. It enables those in sin to remain in the enemy’s bondage that engulfs them and prevents them from living God’s plan for their lives. This is cruel.
Hebrews 10:26 “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left”
There is a mercy that is God.
There is a false mercy that is not of God.
False mercy would say we care for people so much that we don’t desire them to be in discomfort so we become complicit in their choice to murder their own children.
Exodus 20:13 “You shall not murder.”
We care for people so much that we will provide for all of their needs as a society, thereby contributing to their position as worse than an infidel. To establish a society wherein you earn what you have, is a Godly design. And out of your wealth, you give. Nothing else will work in the long run. There is no form marxism that is godly. We hear its compassionate. It is evil because of its promotion of making one person work to provide for another man’s family. This is not giving from your heart. This is stealing.
1 Timothy 5:8 “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
We must discern when we hear truth and when we hear lies. It is a matter of soul life or soul death.
We will not have peace when we believe the counterfeit. So do not be dismayed at those deceived. They cannot have peace. Pray the Lord stir them so profoundly that they once again seek Christ.
Psalm 34:14 “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”
Come Lord Jesus. Teach and train us. Let us not be diowncast for those we know and love but instead pray for the empowerment of warrior and ministering angels to surround and draw Your people unto Yourself.
Make us all more like you, Lord.
